JMB For Sri Jasmin Soon

Some of you may not know this, COB (i.e. under MPN currently) for BUTL has appointed someone from the Resident Association of BUTL to convene the First Meeting of the JMB (Joint Management Body) for Sri Jasmin. You can read the letter at Sri Jasmin On JMB.

Some very important information that you all must know & remember is that unless and until an MC (Management Corporation) is formed, all of BUTL's individual developement areas (totaling 15) will have to form a JMB. Right now, some development areas have already applied the strata title & already approved but the developer has yet to subdivide them to the individual owners. For MC to be formed, you must have, within a development area, at least one-quarter (1/4) of the purchasers to have acquired the strata title.

Some people are saying that for the subdivision to occur, there are cost involved. Listen up ladies & gentlemen, read your SPA (sale & purchase agreement) and if the SPA states that your purchase of the apartment includes the strata title application then there is hardly any cost involved! But we have a dilemma. Our developer is under receivership & the receivers and managers kept saying they are only reponsible for the platinum damansara project. This issue is still being pursued by our team and in the mean time, JMB is the way to go.

If the JMB for Sri Jasmin is a success, then you bet the JMB for all the other 13 development areas will have a JMB as well. So all you people out there. Don't just sit there doing nothing, start reading up the Act 663 and start thinking how you can rescue your apartments. Without JMB, there is no way water can be paid.
